A Little Gnome to Brighten Your Day!

Spring is here…Though you wouldn’t know it in Massachusetts!  We are expecting snow today, but the good news is that it’s New England and it will be spring again tomorrow.  I thought it would be fun to celebrate the season with this cute little gnome.  It’s a great card to send to someone… especially in these days of self distancing, it might just brighten someone’s day!

The Box Card Gnome Tulip Card (SVG, Silhouette) is really simple to piece together, and it folds flat to fit in an A2 Envelope for mailing! If you need a little help with the assembly, this post on how to make shaped box cards should get you pointed in the right direction!

I hope you all find a little happiness today!

  1. Question…. I purchased this SVG file. How tall is the finished card? Looking at the grid on the Cricut mat, it is only about 1 1/2″ high. Is this correct or should I resize it?

  2. Sharon, The card is 3.96″ tall. It sounds like you may have purchased the SVG file from Silhouette. Their SVG formatted files do not come into other software packages in the correct size. If you are planning on using my SVG files, I recommend you purchase them directly from my shop. The ones from my shop will load in the correct size and I also support other cutting machines.

  3. I clicked on the (SVG, Silhouette) link above and it took me to The Design Store to purchase it. So I should have gone to SHOP at the top of this page? Darn …

  4. You can simply resize the file in Cricut by clicking and dragging the corner of the grouped pieces or by changing the measurements in the top tool bar. Just make sure the little lock is “closed” so if you change the height to 3.96 it will change uniformly.

  5. Thanks for your explanations of where to shop.I have already resized and attached score lines and started cutting.
