Welcome to my new website!

Hi everyone! So glad you’ve found me. I decided it’s time to update my blog. I’m soooo excited about this new site! I think it will be a great forum for interacting and communicating with all who may be interested.

For years I’ve been mostly a “silent” designer… behind the scenes making products come to life for many companies like CK Media, Lisa Bearnson, Becky Higgins, Cratepaper, etc. I have some exciting news!! Things are changing a little bit. Let me explain…

  1. I am publishing my very own scrapbook products {with my name on them} through Echo Park Paper. Echo Park is a fairly new scrapbook manufacturer. They debuted just over a year ago. I’m thrilled to be partnered with them to bring scrapbooking products to you. If you have any ideas, themes, or suggestions for future collections, please feel free to contact me with the link above in the navigation bar.
  2. I also create digital die cutting shapes that are available through Silhouette. If you don’t have a silhouette, you need one! I think it’s the greatest invention since the Mac. With this handy tool you can simply plug it into your computer and cut any font you own and download individual shapes to cut for just $.99 from their online store. I have all sorts of shapes for sale at their online store including card kits, boxes, flowers, and so much more. I think my portfolio is pushing 1000 images right now. And, I’m adding new shapes each week. So much fun!
  3. And,… drum roll please… I am now designing fabric and have partnered with Riley Blake Designs. This is an awesome new adventure for me. I’ll keep you posted as that develops. But, as for now, it looks like my designs will debut at fall quilt market. I can’t wait to show you what I’ve been working on.

I’m so glad I’m able to share my designs from all these mediums with you and let you know what I’m working on.  My goal is to post more often so it doesn’t seem like I take month long vacations (which really isn’t ever the case… I’m just designing something). I’ll be sharing ideas, tips, recipes, tutorials… whatever is on my mind. So, visit often and leave comments. I really wish I could meet every one of you…. I know we’d be great friends.

Have a lovely day!

  2. Congratulations on the new design avenues. I’m in love with the Season’s Greetings collection from Echo Park. I use your Silhouette designs often. I have some issues with the CD cut file. I can’t get it to size properly in the new Studio software. Any advice you have would be welcome. Thanks, Lori!

  3. Terri… Thank you soooo much! You are seriously such a sweetheart. I am thankful for your friendship and your cheers! Have an awesome day.

Christi… Are you cutting the file at actual size? It should fold to a 5″ square. I double checked the original and it looks right to me. However, if it’s still giving you troubles, please email me and I’ll send the file directly to you. Thanks and have a lovely day!

  6. You never cease to amaze me with your talent – I wish I had a smidgen of it. You know, I take credit for getting you into scrapbooking in the first place! Congratulations on your success with everything. I love it all and can’t wait to see your fabric. Do you still do any digital designs?

  7. Kristyn… my dear friend! You did get me into scrapbooking… like 14 years ago?? I totally remember taking my kids to your house and putting them to bed and scrapbooking until like 1:00 am. Good times!! You are one talented girl! We need to get together again sometime soon. That’d be so much fun. I think I might have some extra supplies laying around : )

  10. Hi Lori,
I just wondered if you have ever considered combining your fabric with your scrapbooking designs? Would it be possible to use your fabric to cover scrapbooks and include a whole line of matching paper products to a totally coordinated end product? Just wondered. Thanks for the opportunity to comment! Do you have any baby girl or baby boy collections out there? I love classic and tradional looks on the most part, but also love flirty and playful designs!

  11. Could you please design an 80’s paper. I can’t believe it hasn’t been done yet when so many of us lived through that decade. I hope to see it one day on the racks. thank you for your beautiful work 🙂

  12. I’m so excited to hear that you are working with Riley Blake – they are my favorite! It will be so fun to find your designs at my favorite fabric store…Fabric Depot!

  13. Thank you for the great site. Just got my new Wilhouette Cameo and so excited to get started with some of your designs
