Happy Halloween!

Hi Everyone, I hope that everyone is having a great fall season.  We are officially less than one week away from Halloween, so you still have time to create some fun cards and projects like this Box Card Window Black Cat (SVG, Silhouette) I used several of Lori’s Echo Park Paper lines to piece it together including I Love Halloween, A Perfect Autumn, and My Favorite Fall.

I love making Lori’s box cards, they are so easy to put together, really make a statement and fold flat for mailing.  Here is a link to a tutorial for the Window Box Cards.

That’s it for me today, have a great week and Happy Halloween.

Hugs,

Anita

3D Witch’s Brew Bottle Tutorial

Hello everyone Brigit here! For today’s project, I’m sharing a tutorial on how I made this cute Halloween bottle which is the 3D Halloween Warlock Root Bottle, (SVG, Silhouette).

To make putting the bottle together much easier for myself I duplicated the front layer and made it .010 smaller, that is the black layer you see below. So my bottle front size width is 3.489 and I made the black piece 3.479.

It’s easier to form the shape of the sides going around the outside of this extra piece.

After forming the front with the extra piece I add the back gluing the bottom first and then the top neck sides one at a time. Then I glue the rounded sides one side at a time, it fits together perfectly this way.

Instead of using the label that came with the file, I used the Witch’s Brew (SVG, Silhouette) and did a print and cut. I first made an offset and released the inside pieces and deleted them. I then centered and grouped the label together.

I turned on the registration marks and resized the media size to 5″ x 5″ under the page setup menu and then printed. Don’t forget to select cut edge when sending it to cut.

Hope you enjoyed this project and this tutorial helped!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Milk Carton Haunted House

Hi there paper crafting friends!  It’s Michelle Starcher, aka the Bookish Designer, popping in on the blog to share Halloween treat boxes I made for family and friends.  Lori has a wide selection of treat bags and boxes available in her shop.  This week, I made the Milk Carton Haunted House (SVG, Silhouette), and I plan to several of these to fill with yummy treats for the kids.

This cute box is a perfect little size for a holiday treat or favor. It measures 1.8×1.8×4.25.  The Milk Carton Haunted House treat box was super simple to put together,(it’s assembled like the box in this tutorial) and I love that it has the ribbon holes on the top.  This makes it so much easier for the recipient to open and close the treat box.

As I mentioned, Lori has so many awesome treats for Halloween gift giving.  Last year, I made several different Halloween treat boxes for my friends at work. I wanted something a little different for each of them, so I picked out several different files from Lori’s shop.  For the treat boxes below, I used the Vampire Gift Bag (SVGSilhouette), Halloween Witch Tote Bag (SVGSilhouette), and the Mummy Halloween Treat Box (SVGSilhouette).

There are just a few of the Halloween treat boxes available in the shop.  Be sure to check out Lori’s selection of treat boxes for all your holiday needs.

Until next time,

Michelle, aka the Bookish Designer
