Silhouette Tutorial with Cathy

Welcome to the Lori Whitlock Blog, I created a quick set of Lori’s new Quilt Cards and an A2 card box with Echo Park’s Fine & Dandy collection which is designed by Lori!  All of the new quilt cards are the same size and are similar in style except for the actual quilt design, which makes a set of cards go together in no time.

First, cut all your cards, and the red scalloped squares.

Next cut your four quilt designs and make sure to leave the designs on your mat.  Release the compound path on all four designs and do an internal inset of .50 and change the line settings to a stitched line.  Switch your blade to a sketch pen of your choice and do the  square inset stitching first.

Next, delete the squares and stitching on the square and do an offset of .125 on all the designs and again change line to a stitched line.  Remember to change the regular cut lines to no cut!

So after, all the sketch pen stitching was done, these cards went together quickly using the fun patterns and stickers from the Fine & Dandy collection.  I kept my designs similar, which makes creating a set of cards easier and faster.

I decided that these cards would be fun to give as a gift so I created a A2 card box with a file from Lori.  I used just the quilted design from the Quilt Patchwork card to add to the top of my box.  I love how this set turned out.

Lori’s new quilt cards perfect for creating a card set with and I think they would be super fun with the new Echo Park Christmas Cheer collection designed by Lori!

Thanks for joining us today!
