What a fun Blog Hop!!! :)

Our Halloween tradition is to make something special for the other kids on our street! Last year we decorated crayon boxes and this year we are wrapping homemade candy apples with paper witch’s hats and candy apples.

Julie S. - October 23, 2012 - 12:59 pm

I enjoy printing our names in a large block font and using it as a pumpkin pattern, cutting each person’s name out on the front of a pumpkin! Happy Halloween!

Susan - October 23, 2012 - 9:35 am

LeAnne B - October 22, 2012 - 9:50 pm

You can’t beat heading to the Pumpkin Patch as a family as a fall tradition. Hayrides, pumpkins, and fun…and hopefully a yummy fall treat or two. (Like apple donuts and cider.)

we are painting our pumpkins this year-that way they will last longer (and the squirrels can’t eat them as easy!)

glenda - October 20, 2012 - 7:50 am

I recently cut out “trick or treat” in red vinyl for the black front door ! so sweet ! Hang a spider wreath above it and I have an easy front porch display. I can’t wait to cut out more saying for the door for fall and Christmas !

Dawn - October 20, 2012 - 6:09 am

Every Fall, I stack a set of 3 real pumpkins (largest pumpkin on bottom, to smallest on top) on to a concrete urn on my front porch to make two beautiful topiaries. I wrap grapevine loosely around the pumpkins and add some artificial fall leaf garland. It it simple and beautiful. You just have to spend a little time to make sure your pumpkins are level. Beautiful and simple!

Amy O - October 19, 2012 - 8:01 pm

I saw a cool idea for a Thanksgiving centerpiece on a blog last year – cut out leaves in different colors, have everyone write something they’re thankful for on a leaf, and tie or clip onto a tree branch and place in a vase.

For November, every day write one thing you are thankful for–no repeats. Make a book or collage with all those things.

Amy Jones#8546 - October 18, 2012 - 8:22 am

Very cute project and idea. My idea would be for Halloween. The kids and I gathered some rocks from the creek. We painted them black and decorated them however we wanted. Put legs on them using a hot glue gun and pipe cleaners and there you have a black spider decoration for Halloween.
