Couple’s Wedding Shower Decor

Hello Everyone:

As we gear up for the fall wedding season which is very popular, I was looking for decorations in the party store that would work for a couple’s wedding shower.  They had absolutely nothing and I knew that Lori would have some wonderful items that I could make into elegant decorations for this special bride and groom.  I used Lori’s 3 D Alphabet Letters.  She has a wonderful tutorial on putting these together plus the files are labeled as well.  I would suggest just taking your time and making sure the glue is set before moving onto the next section.  Here are the files for the 3 D Alphabet letters:

M – (SVG, Silhouette), R – (SVG, Silhouette), S – (SVG, Silhouette), & – (SVG, Silhouette), T – (SVG, Silhouette), O – (SVG, Silhouette), B – (SVG, Silhouette),
E – (SVG, Silhouette)

You can also get the SVGs for the whole alphabet in a bundle Lori’s store (SVG).

People were amazed by the letter decorations and went over to look closely as they thought that they were made out of wood.

I also decided to make the bride a personalized wine cup and used Lori’s font called Matilda (SVG, Silhouette) and a beer mug for the groom and I used her Sans font (Silhouette).  These were a huge hit with the bride and groom who loved having their own personalized cups for the party.

That’s it for me today.  Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Off to College Stationery Set

Hi Everyone:

Happy Fall.  Hard to believe summer is at it’s end.  I wanted to put together an off to college stationery set for my niece.  I’m going to send her first care package with treats and this stationery set in it.  These cards which are linked below, the Ornate Pull Out Cards 1-9 are so pretty and so easy to put together.  The Stationery Box Big Scallops is linked below as well and is great to package up these beautiful cards.  I used Echo Park Paper A Slice of Summer collection.  Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Rectangle Pop Up Card Flower Stand

Anita here with Lori’s new, gorgeous Rectangle Pop Up Card Flower Stand.  You can find the SVG file here in Lori’s store and it is also here in the Silhouette store.  Lori also has a tutorial which will help you assemble her rectangle pop up cards.   You can find that video here.  I made this for a sweet young woman who is going after her dreams by starting a new job in a different field.  I used several of Lori’s Echo Park Paper collections, including My Favorite Christmas, A Perfect Autumn, Back to School, Celebrate Spring, Easter Wishes and Celebrate Easter.  Be sure to check out all of the new Rectangle Pop Up Summer Stand cards, they are so cute and very easy to put together.

Christmas in July Tea Towels

Hi Everyone:

For the first time ever, I decided to start making some Christmas items in July.  I  made these tea towels using three of Lori’s SVG files , Flourish Reindeer (SVG, Silhouette), Mistletoe 2 (SVG, Silhouette) and Merry Christmas Flourish Tree (SVG, Silhouette).  I used some tea towel blanks from Kimberbell and they are of awesome quality.  I tend to display my holiday tea towels hanging from my stove door handle so I planned out my sizing for the designs with that in mind.  I used the Cricut Easy Press to adhere my iron on vinyl designs but you can also use a regular iron.  They come out so beautiful and are so easy to work with.

Below are the photos of the parts to applique on the towels.

Here are the Tea Towels that I used.

Here are the close up photos of each towel.

It feels great to have gotten at least something done for the busy holiday season which will be upon us before we know it.  Check out all of Lori’s wonderful Christmas and holiday cut files and get a jump start on your holiday crafting.

Cookie Box 4th of July

Anita here with a festive way to celebrate the 4th of July with cookies.  I used Lori’s SVG file called Cookie Box 4th of July which you can find here in the Lori Whitlock SVG store and here in the Silhouette Design store.  I also used a Doily file of hers to line the box.  You can find that file here in Lori’s SVG store and here in the Silhouette Design store.  I used a piece of acetate for the window of my box and then also cut a circle the size of my cookie to lay in the box and to  keep the doily and box free from grease.  I also cut some cardstock 2 1/4″ X 2 1/2″ and then glued some twine down the middle of the paper.  I used a thin chopstick to roll the paper into a firecracker shape.

Here’s the box with the doily out of it so you can see how it looks.

Finally, here is a photo of the box with the doily in it.  Have a great day and thank you for looking.

Hugs,

Anita
